01 E320 giving me a problem that is a mystery. All interior and exterior lamp are working fine. #11 fuse keeps blowing with the instrument lights, symbol lights, and license plate lights going out. I have repeately check the bulbs, but can seem to determine what is the problems. Everytime I replace the fuse and drive for several minutes after turning on the headlights, the #11 fuse (instrument lights, interior symbol lights, & license plates lights) blows with the Defective Lamp malfunction appearing on the dash. Any ideas as to what could be the source of the problem?

Lamp socket housing is shorting. E320 is very notorious for that kinds of problem. When you locate the bad socket, you will most likely see a sign of shorting, either melted wire or blacken bulb contact point. It is another one those poor un-MBZ like design done by MBZ.
