I have 1994 s420 and my fuel tank leaking in the trunk. the part number for the current tank is 1404701001

been looking for a used tank to replace and I am not finding part number 1404702501

Do you think this will be a good replacement and will fit correctly

The best place is car-part.com because all the self serve junk yards puncture the tanks to get the gas out, but unless you can weld to fix the punctured tank. Here are some self serve junk yards... 1 and 2.

I could not tell you if one will fit or not. I honestly think it is a revision, but for that you need to look at EPC and see if is just a revision or not....
