I can not find the Fuel Pump Relay on my 1979 450SL. I contacted two Mercedes Dealerships and one said behind the glovebox and the other said under the hood on the firewall. They each gave me different part numbers too. Can anyone out there help?

In the passenger footwell, behind the kick panel and above the fuse panel you'll find a cluster of relays. Can't tell you which one it is, but it should look like this...

As to the part number conundrum, you can look up your own parts. There's a link in the EGv107 "Info" section to the MB-USA Electronic Parts Catalog. You need a credit card to prove residency, but there's no charge to US residents.
