I'm working on my non running 84 380SL and I can't seem to locate the fuel pump relay. I disconnected the positive lead from the pump and ran a wire from the bat terminal thru a switch then back to the pump so now at least it fires but will not keep running. Where oh where is that mystery relay located?? Also how do I get the fuel distributer to open up the return line? Thanks

Look in the EGv107 on line service manual link. Yes it is behind the glove box but not the same as the 560. It is to the right of the idle speed control unit. There is a picture in the component location section of the wiring diagram.

Thanks for all the info. The reason for the fuel return line question is because when I turn the fuel pump on with my jumper switch the system pressures up then gets real slow and labored like the fuel return is blocked. I so far have replaced the fuel filter and my next step is to check the fuel quantity and pressure delivery and return pressure but without the engine running other than that first 2 secounds after starting I'm going to have to wing it. I'm thinking that because I have the Lamba injection that maybe something is shutting the return down when the engine is not running and if so how do I get around it? thanks for all the help. This is a great forum and I'm looking forward to contributing some help myself if I can.
