Does anybody have the part # for the fuel line that attaches to the back of the fuel filter. I'm pretty sure it goes over to the pump. Might be the feed line but I'm not clear on that.
My 2002 is after the VIN# break point--never needed the updated lines.
I did search, but not much help. Lots of confusion with the updated lines for the earlier years.
Thanks for the help!

The below numbers are for my 05ML500 VIN number but I think should be the same for your ML.

The two lines below go from the filter to the fuel pump.
The line that comes directly off the back of the filter is the feed line and is 163-470-28-64.
The line that comes off the rear of the filter at a 90 degree angle is the return line and is 163-470-29-64.

I highly recommend that you call a Mercedes dealer parts department to confirm the two part numbers are correct for your VIN #. You are only going to get these parts from a dealer anyway.

I'm looking for a couple of fuel lines for my 2002 ML270 CDI. I mainly need the lines that travel....
1. From the Left of the Injector Pump, under the pump than up, along the rocker cover, to the very back of the engine .... This line is leaking. You can see the shiny black tube cover/protector in the 1st picture).
2. Another line that plugs directly into the centre of the fuel filter .... is that 163-470-28-64?

Someone has used a nylon tie cord in the past on the back connector (as you can see). But there also look like a plastic washer or gasket .... Do I need the part number for that too?

Can anyone help me with this?

All the best.

Here are the part numbers, but as you can see there are so many variations as to vin# and model year and codes. You will actually have to go to a dealer with a copy of the illustrations to get the correct lines, O-rings and washers.

That #216 part looks like it will be expensive.
