I finally got 'roundtuit' and replaced the injectors on the ML320. The dread was, admittedly, worse than the job itself. It took me a total of 2.5 hours.

The verdict:

The ML320 runs smooth as silk now. No loping or hesitation. It's hard to believe the injectors were that bad and I think they were bad ever since we've owned the vehicle. I did have a bit of a hard start 1 hour after my road test. It took 3 attempts to crank it. There may still be some air in the rail even though I've bled it. I parked it for 3 hours (we cut grass at one of her deceased dad's houses) and when I returned, I tried it again. This time, it took about 5 - 6 seconds but it cranked on the first try. I have a friend who has a fuel rail bleed system and I may take it to him later this week if it continues but it is better.

Thanks to 43sqd for his downloaded info. It was a great guide to get this started.

Great job. Thanks for the DIY. Will save it for the time comes! Hopefully it is not too soon though. What mileage do you have on your ML?
145,500 miles.

did you notice any effect on the fuel economy? wondering if in the long run this job pays for itself...
The repair was done sunday so I haven't checked it yet. The job paid for itself just for the fact it now runs good. My wife had the hard start this afternoon. She said it took about 5 seconds to kick over. Other than that aggravation, everything is great.

As Witek had pointed out in another thread, the green injectors were actually for the ML55AMG. I have removed them, cleaned the old ones and reinstalled them. I'm waiting to see if Five-o parts will exchange the ones That they sent that were wrong.

Just found this old thread searching. I cannot for the world figure out how to un-clip the electrical connectors from the Injectors. I'm afraid I am going to break something.
If anyone know please let me know.
Thanks

Consider it something like a "U" shape. Use a screwdriver to gently pry one side away from the connector and push it in a perpendicular direction. At this point the connector should come free, or you can try to repeat the same to the other side and completely remove the clip.
