Hello
Got my car back after service yesterday,my fuel Filter was replaced and
I now notice that the Fuel Gauge is not properly working,
Is the Fuel Filter thing related to Fuel Gauge ?

Thanks

Yes, the filter is in the tank with the pump and sender. Hopefully the mechanic simply forgot to reconnect a wiring harness.

R - are you sure? Maybe with some W209 engines/models that is so - the OP has not shared this vital information with us, for reasons unknown....

On most W209 CLKs the fuel filter is located under the car, just ahead of the left rear wheel, under a cover. As shown here:

Yep, you are right Keyhole. I see the OP's screen name is "georgeclk200". I saw that as "CLK500" where the filter is usually in the tank. It looks like the CLK200 is in the wheel well. I think even in that case, the sender's wiring harness right there, so maybe the mechanic unplugged it or damaged it doing the work.

LOL.. It seems that you were right, after all. :)

I did a quick review of the fuel filter location across the W209 CLK range of engines - some of which never crossed the pond...

a) Fuel filter located in the tank: CLK 500. b) Fuel filter located under the car: CLK 200K, CLK 240, CLK 280, CLK 320, CLK 350, CLK 55 AMG.

Yep, after this discussion, I did some research in WIS and found the same as you. I knew it was in the tank for the CLK500, but that seems to be the only model. I actually thought it was in the tank for all the V8's, but that doesn't seem to be the case. Oh well!
