I have a 1987 300TD its time to change the fuel filters and was wondering if its a project that is pretty basic and i can do myself to save some cash, or is it something I should have a shop do? I do all the oil changes my self to save cash so if this is something I can do also it would be great. any advice or step by step instructions would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Easy

I did it myself and I'm 16, you can do it.
Andrew-

Edit: You will need a metric socket with extension set to get cover off, then two wrenches to "unscrew" filter nuts. Make sure you open fill tank or gas will be misted into for face. Make sure you use new washers (the one I bought came with them) before you put the cover back on, obviously check for leaks. good to go.
