i need the little rubber stopper for the fuel door, is this something i can order, what is it called or what is the part number?

I know, easy thing to get from the junk yard, but i don't have one close and a junk yard trip is never quick, suddenly you decide (if you find a w123), i need all this other stuff.

Is there an on-line fiche / parts catalog where i can look this stuff up?

Detali.ru is the site I go to. It's quite complicated, but easy to navigate once you get the hang of it.

Click on the left hand "Mercedes" link, then from there go to the "cars" section and select your chassis code (123.133 for 83 300D turbo). If it's engine or transmission specific, instead of "cars" the proper link should be there too.

But it's free for North American models. European models will need to have membership fees.
