So my pops took his car to a mechanic because of hard starting.
The mec said that the fuel distributor is bad, so my pops bought another one, installed it car still having starting problems.
Switched with another fuel distributor and same thing you would have to try to start it like 20 times before it starts.
any ideas????

Then maybe it's not the fuel distributor. You know what, most mechanics wing it when it comes to diagnosis.

Probably the fuel accumulator.. Well it could be the fuel accumulator as it is the device that give the engine a shot of fuel prior to starting. A good MB mechanic will have a CIS gauges and can tell you exactly what's needed after a couple of hours of investigation.

the car will start and drive after a couple of times trying to start it.
so that would eliminate the fuel pump.
i believe they change the fuel pressure regulator.
i dont think they changed the fuel accumulator.
what about the cold start valve?
