In forums I received two options (attached here) about how to install the fuel circuit of my 1976 MB 280SE D-JETRONIC. Which one is correct? Thanks in advance!

Either/both are correct and serve the same purpose. The dampener merely serves as a "buffer" to reduce pulsations in the fuel supply caused by changes in demand. I prefer the dampener before the regulator but that is simply my choice.

Hi Mike! Thanks a lot for the help. If it works as a "buffer", in fact and as you said, it can be placed in both positions, but I will assemble the circuit with the dumpener at the entrance as you do.
Greetings from Brazil!
