the origional fuel accumulator is still on my car, i can not change my fuel filter until i have all the factory s lines L lines etc.... its rough looking back there and afraid when i touch it it will break.
What up with the accumulator costing $180 from the dealor w/ my 20% discount??
Is this just an inline filter ??
cant find aftermarket ??
what can be done ??
I have over the past 2 weeks since getting my car dumped $3000 and more on the way.

The accumulator does what the name implies it accumulates fuel or in other words damps out pressure fluctuations.
ok mine is 20 yrs old - there is no aftermarket ??
do i have to spend the $180 ??
or just leave it ??

if you want an MB part for your car, don't bother complaining about the price. if you'd like the alternative then autohausaz.com also has affordable variants. it's hit or miss with various parts.

Use OE, even if 180 bucks; not bad once every 20 years…

Effbe/Erlingklinger for $73.95 thay show the latter as OE

it's not OEM. trust me. i made that assumtion too. by OEM they mean it's designed around the OEM piece. unfortunately, the only OEM stuff is from the stealership.
