1: turn to position 2, after 4 seconds, push the 1st button once the remaning interval will show, after 10 sec. turn ot to position 0.

2: push and hold button 1, turn to position 2, the remaning interval will show again, after 10 sec. it will make a beep sound and 10,000 will show, release button 1.

I struggled with this on my 230 slk. I found that when I turned the key back to position (0) push and hold buton 1 then turn key to (2) it had to be done very fast or the beep came after 5 secs and nothing reset.

Different procedure??

Strange. I just changed my oil and reset the FSS yesterday. It worked fine but the procedure in my manual was a bit different.
1. Start engine, immediately push button 1 twice to bring up the FSS display
2. Shut off engine and turn ignition to "0", then push and hold button 1
3. While holding button 1, within 10 seconds turn ignition to pos. 2 and hold button 1 until it beeps and shows "10,000."

I wonder if they changed the procedure as of a certain model year? Mine is a 2003.
