Last week I did a "B service" (335,700 miles) along with a few other items that were in need. When I was finished I reset the FSS as usual. It read 10,000 miles. I looked at it today and it now reads 10,800. Can anybody explain why it may have gone up? I have seen it go up if I top off the oil after a few thousand miles but not this soon after a change.
What do you think?

Thanks,
Benz 4 JTS

Did you take an extended drive since the service. I have seen it go up in just a few days
after some 80-90 mile round trips of highway driving.

Thanks Noodles,
I did drive 70 miles roundtrip to work and back home a few times and tow a boat about 45 miles.

FSS is constantly adjusting it's range based on the conditions that are put on the engine. Obviously the highway trip is gonna be easier on the engine so the interval can be lengthened a little bit. If you do a lot of city driving after this, expect the FSS mileage to drop as well.
