I have a 2001 c320. The next service due is displayed in days. I really want to know how can I change the display in miles?

It's explained in detail in the Owner's Manual.
Use the buttons on the steering wheel to navigate thru the menu system.
For your reference, here is an excerpt from the Owner's manual...

Please tell me which page. My manual only says "The next service due is displayed in either days or in miles, depending on your driving style."

ohh I understand what you wanted... you wanted to see the FSS message something like " SERVICE A IN XX MILES". I don't know how to change the message from 'days' to 'miles'. On page 265, it says that you'd see one of the following messages:
SERVICE A IN XX DAYS
SERVICE A IN XX MILES (KM)
SERVICE A DUE NOW!
But the manual doesn't say if we can change between days and miles.

Sorry, I couldn't help.

You can't change the FSS display between "days" and "miles". Basically, the FSS calls for an oil change based on calculated oil quality. Normally this is determined by miles driven and how (i.e. if you drive it like you stole it or you drive like my grandmother). Regardless of miles, it will still call for a service at least once every year. So if you drive gently and drive less than 10,000 miles or so a year, the FSS will switch to "once a year" mode and display the interval in days.
