FS - 1987 Mercedes 560SEL

I never thought I'd be doing this. I am an Army veteran and a Pastor, so I don't make very much money but over the years I have made several investments. This car was one of them. But I have been diagnosed with a Autoimmune Disease called HES, and need to have several medical tests and treatments that our insurance company won't pay for. The total that we have to come out of pocket for those tests and treatments is @$14,246.00. The only thing that we have of value that we can sell is my prize 1987 Mercedes 560SEL. This car was involved in a small fender bender several years ago and the insurance company decided that they didn't want to fix it, so they totaled it. The owner bought it back from the insurance company and had it fixed like new. I don't want to sell it. It is a beautiful car with only 122,000 miles on it. The outside is silver-blue and the inside is gray leather. No scratches or tears in the leather, and only minor scratches in the paint that could be waxed and buffed out. I have practically rebuilt the motor, and it runs great. I just finished doing a brand new brake job on all four wheels, and the chrome MB wheels were just added this week.This car has always been garaged. The low blue book on this car is $7200.00 and high blue book is $10,800. This is truly a beautiful car. I have never seen another 560SEL that is this nice. All the windows and the sunroof work. Both front and back seats are electric and heated. Brand new stereo system installed by CarToys includes am/fm/cd/ipod/mp3 hookups. The 560SEL was considered by most collectors to be the best luxury sedan that Mercedes ever made. I don't see any way around it. I don't want to sell it, (and we really need two cars) but I need the medical treatment worse than I need the car. The first one here with $8000.00 cash drives a beautiful luxury car home.
