I am moving to NY from LA in June and shall have to say goodbye to my favorite Benz.
It is a one of few special ordered Benz came to USA. Unlike 2.6 automatic transmission, the car has a 5-speed manual transmission. So it is a perfect "Driver's Benz". The balance between power and handling is unlike anything I have driven. It is the opinion of the Benz gurus' that a manual transmission Benz can last for a long time.
There is only a handful of 2.6 5-speed in the USA and it is definitely becoming a collector's item.
Specifications: 1990 190E inline 6 cylinder engine with 168K miles.
I owned the car since 2001, and bought the car in San Diego from a lady who moving out of state.
I have meticulously maintained the car and have a full list of service records. Recently replaced all shocks with Bilstein shocks and did a full service. The car is also equipped with AMG 5-spoke chrome rims with 17" tires (worth $2,500).
Everything works in the car including the original AC (except the rear 2 windows). I can explain the window problem if any one is interested.
It will be extremely hard to say goodbye to this awesome engineering marvel. I am asking for $6,200 but open to reasonable offers.
Those who are interested plz PM me or email me at [email protected] I am located in Los Angeles.
