Hello -

Need some help on this one! I have a 2000 ML320 and when I turn to the left, I hear a noise coming from the front that resembles a radial separation on a tire. I hear it at all speeds and it is stronger when going on a curve to the left. I do not hear the noise on a curve to the right.

I rotated the front tires to the rear but I am still getting the noise in the front and on curves to the left.

As anyone encountered this before and what would be a possible solution?

Thanks

I am going to toss a bearing in the mix. the symptoms really sound like a bearing.

Thanks for the feedback.

I was quessing an axle or bearing but was not 100%

I am taking a guess here - Since the noise is louder when turning left then I would assume it is on the driver side. Correct?

If it is a bearing issue - Would it be the bearting on the outside or the inside by the transfer case?

Usually the loaded bearing gets noisier. So it would be the passenger side and most likely
the one at the outside. Never saw one on the inside by the TC go bad yet.
