Quick, possibly dumb, question - is the screened cowl inlet the only location used to direct fresh air into the climate control system? I searched to no avail.

Yes i guess its the only inlet of the fresh air coming from outside,

That's what I assumed, just hoping for some verification

It does seem to be the only inlet, but given the level of complexity in the climate system, I figured it is safer to ask...

Lol. yes it is. And the exit points are those two flaps, one each side, behind the rear bumper aprons. In my experience even brand new ones of these also let air in as well as out. They arent very effective non-return flaps really. My car often wants to let exhaust fumes into the cabin that way..

Glad to get some confirmation! That will help immensely in temporarily solving one of my minor issues.
