Since I am 'born again' on the forum I will offer one up that I saw and am considering: Brown 1983 380 SL - PEI
I too have a 1983 380SL - owned it since new.
There is a lot to like about 380SL and not much to dislike if it has had the Timing Chain converted to dual row.
You can take a dental mirror and a flashlight and look in by removing the Oil Filler cap to verify.

Not as powerful as the 560SL or 500SL and its a great little car for cruising.
If you got more money, the 560SL or more so the 500SL are more desirable.

There are some pluses for the 380SL over the 560SL, and there are some pluses for the 560SL over the 380SL.
For the difference in money, the 380SL is very compelling.

Very good deal. If I were home I'd be travelling down there.

Update: Posting deleted. That didn't take long.

I find it hard to believe no one has snatched these up. Newbies ask all the time. Model 107 Chassis and Body Service Manuals for Sale The price is half what they are advertised on EBay or what I would list mine for.
Thanks for the heads up @rowdie , they finally turned up in the mail
And thank you to Steve, @LEVERHEAD , for the manuals. Very much appreciated
I might not get to work much on my 107, but I love learning about cars so these will get put to good use
Just have to hunt down a M103 manual now and I'll be happy
And @miko1aj did you end up getting your manuals?

I still have a set of similar manuals I purchased right after I got my 380SL back in the 1980s.

That blue single volume puzzles me, Carl
It's a North American Mercedes publication, same as the two grey ones, but no 560SL/SLC listed
What's the purpose/background of the blue one

Rummaging around I also found these books that I have collected over the years.
The red book is in German.

That blue book predates the 560SL.
I purchased it around 1983.

A 560SL with Euro Head lights and Bunts (I guess 15" Bunts) Stokesdale Craigs list. Looks like a much more expensive car than the one in Greensboro.

Notice different wheels in the pic inside the garage. I think that outdoor pic with bundts is not a 560sl, as you can notice it has chrome door handles and bumpers that seem to stick out too far too. No 560sl front air dam in that pic either. Scam?
