Hey guys,

Figured I would post these in the vintage forum in case anyone was looking for these things, since they are more relevant here.

The second car from the right is a euro W116. It has the euro exterior trim including the headlights, not sure of the interior. It has not been put on the lot yet.

Obviously, this one is a W108. I didnt get a good look at either of these since they were in the area where they prepare the cars to go out.

These are in Stockton. Just thought I would put it out there.

Anyone know how much those euro W116 parts are worth? I might pull them.

You people in CA make me sick with your endless vistas of nice, rust-free cars in the junkyards. :) We have people here DRIVING cars in much worse shape!

AGREED !

My brother and me are thinking the same exact thing.
But how , and what to do ??
We are stretched so far, because we're buying left and right, but have no takers for cars that need a little work or a paint job and off it goes into the crusher.....unfathomable to us.
We've probably seen hundreds of cars go to waste.....
Most of the times we cannot even keep up buying parts off them.
Finnies, 108s, 114/5s, 107s, 116es and 126es and on and on....
sad, very sad.
I am trying to get a Mercedes Driver's club going.
Old Mercedes (w124 AND OLDER )owned or driven by DIY mechanics who need literature or parts etc.....
Offering project cars from 1953 to 1993...(rather than breaking them up for parts....)

the worst part about these yards is, that by the time you find out about a car there is no time left to get the parts off, or they're butchered by somebody else....sometimes 3-4 weeks turnaround...and they're gone...

I wish I could buy them all. There are numerous W124's in the lot too, way way too many. College student means no budget tho.

Lucky us in some ways with the rust free or slightly rusted cars.
A lot of them do go to waste, wish I could buy them all up too.
I do hope there will still be some around for the next 20 yrs. or so. Later.

I agree completely. I think my 1973 (1972?) 108 280 SEL 4.5 should go into the project car organization and be saved because it is rust free except for surface rust and the 4.5 runs nice and transmission goes forward real nice. No reverse and a cosmetic fixer.

Hey, did I sell or give you a fintail back window? Turns out I need a fintail front windshield cause I bought one with a busted one. I'm keeping the finnie... Looking forward to its arrival...

Well, if anyone needs some parts off of any of these cars, I would be happy to try and get them for you and then send them to you guys.
