There is a thread called Found Three Piece AMG wheels here - http://www.benzworld.org/forums/w126-s-se-sec-sel-sd/1512990-found-three-piece-amg-wheels.html

This thread is about the other AMG wheels that are also found on w126. Please post up what you have and maybe how you got them. Some basic info. from what I know. Please add info that you know/have on these wheels as well.
My understanding is that these wheels were originally produced for the w124 Hammer. They were +28 offset.
They were then also produced for w126, and possibly the r107 SL, in the +11 offset.

I have three sets and another set I bought this weekend ...

I now have 2 sets of +28's and one set of + 11's. The images are from the +28's as my +11's are away getting refurbed.

I bought my first +28's when I had little knowledge of the difference in offsets. The MB 'specialist' said they would fit my w126 with no issues... These arrived after a cleanup looked ok. I took them to my wheelman and all four wheels had some issues with them. It cost me a thrid more to get these done properly. I've never gone back to that MB 'specialist' again. But these were not the +11's. Later I found out the difference. It starge when you start looking, thye turn up ! I went to see a Playmouth Roadrunner a friend was looking to purchase. Lo and behold there were AMG Aero 1's sitting in this guys garage. I asked about them and was told that they had come off a Merc which this guy had sent off to Japan ! After some haggling, begging, twisting of the guys arm he relented and the wheels were mine !

I had not put these on until recently when I wanted a choice between summer/street and winter/touring wheels. Although its summer here now, I will run the Aero 1 wheels and swap out between the AMG OZ rims for now, then just install the AMG Aero 1's for winter.

I've been looking out for another set after my recent email conversation with Kim (KRH) on here. We both agreed that the +28 and +11 combination front and rear respectively was ideal for the w126. It provides the stagger that all around +11's do not provide. Unfortunately, I wanted to hang on to my +11's a I'm investigating bringing in an E500/500E and would put my +28/+11's on that.

Well as it happens a set of +28's came available. It lasted 30 minutes b4 I asked the seller for as 'buy now' price to be added and whammo, I own another set of +28's. Apparently they were on a w202 ....
They gave my work hack Elantra a work out being stashed in the boot on a round trip of 4 hours.

Beautiful wheels! For some odd reason these wheels are very under-rated and don't get as much love as the 3pc OZ Racing or Pentas, but I think they're in the middle of that pack in terms of appeal.

What?
Why 28's at the front?
11's at the front...spacers at the rear for wider stance
Agreed. Dont want to use my +11's yet and dont really like spacers. Have the AMG 3 piece for the real wider stance.

Dr Grillz - where can I find the latest pic of your "Black Bitch" ?
I thought you also had another w126, paint code 122?

Its been since updated with French-spec headlights and fog lights and now has a 2.6L M102 Brabus motor mated to the 5-speed manual transmission and ASD differential. Fun car to drive.

I do have a W126 in 122, but don't post many pictures of it online. My avatar picture shows the front end :-D
