No. Definitely not and it seems dear for the US market. My advise is to start to look a a post 2003 face lifted car that seem to have less problems especially concerning the ABC suspension system. Trust me that can be a huge headache if it gos wrong so beware and be careful. Ok a post 2003 car would stretch your budget a little bit especially if you go for a 2004 and up car which has better navigation system (DVD based against CD based up to MY 2003) but there's plenty of good cars over there so time and patience is the key here.

Hope it helps.

Cheers.

that's not a good deal. you can probably find an '03 600 (bi-turbo engine) for under 25k at this point. but remember, there's a reason they appear to be a "good deal". You've got to have the money to maintain them. Scads of stories about electrical and ABC problems. I went in with eyes wide open, and I was still shocked by the repair bills. Great cars though. Nothing sexier in my opinion. A beautiful car and if you buy the 600 you'll constantly be getting envious stares at traffic lights.

I just bought an 03 CL500 for $26K last month. 34K miles, AMG sport package, keyless-go, and trunk opener. I know I could have found a cheaper 03, but this car was as close to perfect as one can be. Silver with Black interior. I know I may face some expensive maintenance in the future, but I am loving this car so far. This car is getting more looks and comments than many other cars in our high rise's garage costing twice or three times as much... Can't wait to drive it again tomorrow!!! :)
