1992 300TE - just serviced - new plugs, wires, serpentine belt, the correct Zerex G05 antifreeze (same as the Mercedes brand). Michelin Tires are less than 2 years old (filled with Nitrogen). Jack has never been used - spare is new condition. Cold A/C . Needs clear coat on the hood and has misc scratches. 174k $2,500

Thanks for the note - but you should type 4matic into the search on the W124 forum to see how many problems the 1st generation Mercedes foray into AWD had.

Largely regarded as a problem child to be polite - or poison by most used car dealers.

I'm used to Audi Quattro being bulletproof.

If that's the case, how is this car in the winter? (With proper snow tires).

I need a winter car with hauling space. Want to say Mercedes.

The W211 starting in 2002 or newer is probably the best bet for 4Matic as by then it was on the 3G and managed by a sophisticated programs.
