I have a complete 6 cylinder engine and 4 speed transmission from a 1959 220S Sedan for sale. The engine ID plate indicates sit is an M180.III/180.924 engine, the uprated 124 HP version of the engine that was used in the W180 Ponton 220 series cars from 1956 to 1959. Here is a link to the specs for these cars listing this engine and the 4 speed manual transmission.

The engine was purchased in 1980 to rebuild and put into another 220 sedan, but the car was sold before the engine was used. Time to clean out the garage.

Engine is complete with distributor, starter, water pump, intake manifold, twin two-bbl Solex carburetors, and exhaust manifold.

Pictures available on request.

Mercedesengines sells rebuilt long blocks for $9,250, and lists a core charge of $2,250 for the head, block, crankshaft, and oil pan.

The price for this complete engine and transmission is $2,500 or best offer.
