My passenger side power folding mirror on closing - flaps and creates a loud clicking noise.

The clicking noise is as if its hitting the door - but its not - its 'Very close' to the passenger door - esp when compared to the drivers side.

Sometimes its several flap/clicks other times just one.

I read somewhere about the seal/gasket...I wonder if its the seal or the motor...

I had my motor/gear replaced under warranty for the same clicking noise just before completely folded.

Same experience

"Clapping" close was fixed by replacing the motor.

Does Extended Warranty help in this case ???

I had my motor/gear replaced under warranty for the same clicking noise just before completely folded.

I thought it was only the gears that would get replaced.

My drivers die is doing it now on my R320cdi-l.

Mine started doing it after a "nice" friend tried to fold out the mirrors manually for me!!! I bet he broke some gear or something inside.

For now....I just disabled the folding feature....but I miss it. It is an easy way to tell if you have locked your car or not.

Anyone knows how much is that motor?
