Hey guys!

I need some help. I have a 2009 MB C-300 4matic sport. Unfortunately both my foglight lens have been cracked due to road debris. Can someone please help me identify the part numbers for my vehicle? I called the dealership and they refused to release part numbers.

Any help would be great.

Thanks!

Thanks ZeroSeVen!

Sorry for the dumb question but when you say Right does that mean Driver or Pass Side. Do people say right as if you were looking from outside or from inside the car? LOL

Before you replace....

Hi,

Before you replace your fog lights, are they working but the lens is cracked? I bought my car used and had that problem. It was going to cost hundreds of $ to replace them. Everyone on the forum said to put Laminex on the new ones if I decided to replace them in order to protect them. Since my cracked lights worked but I was afraid of water getting in the lamp, I bought this off of eBay:

08-10 C-Class Fog Light Yellow Overlay TINT Film Cover - eBay (item 160505802758 end time Dec-12-10 19:56:09 PST)

It took about 10 minutes to put the yellow tint film on, and they look good and are different looking than other C series clear lenses. $7 is a lot better than about $300 the dealership wanted to charge to fix/replace the fog lights. Just an idea to save you some money.

I also put these tints on, too. I never used tint film before, but some soapy water, a plastic credit card to smooth out air bubbles and my wifes' hairdryer and an hour was all it took.

08 09 2010 C300 C350 C63 AMG smoked reverse signal tint - eBay (item 380233339677 end time Dec-09-10 10:47:15 PST)

C-Class front side marker overlays film tint smoke - eBay (item 380253948756 end time Dec-22-10 14:04:40 PST)

I also thank you for the numbers. But have an additional question...I have an '08 C350 Sport and looking the part numbers up on GenuineMercedesparts.com indicates that these lamps are for a car with the AMG package. Does that translate to the US Sport version of the W204?

Yes:thumbsup:

The US C300/ C350 Sports version have AMG bumpers.

I already paid over $200 to have one lens replaced.

I now have clear duct tape covering both foglamps for protection.

Looks like the clear yellow overlays are sold out. I'm looking for a solution. Clear duct tape sounds legit coming from Mr. Silicon Valley. I assume you exacto knifed them or something?

Yes, exacto knifed. It's not perfect looking, but highly functional. It's been on the lights for several months.

Thanks all, I bought my fog light assembly for $131 shipped and am going to DIY it. Then I'm adding a laminate to protect.

Saurey, sounds like a good plan. Let us know how hard the installation is.

$124/light is the same as I paid, and installing myself was pretty easy. The hard part was pulling out the old assembly and putting the new one back in as they have to squeeze in through the mesh-removed hole. Contrary to the note about using a socket wrench, I used a screwdriver. You need Torx bit which I happened to have already from a standard set, and a shorter screwdriver is best as the workspace is small in there. I LOVE working on my Benz!

It's 100% OEM original? I got mine on genuinemercedesparts.com

Let me know how it goes and if so. That's a good tip though if I can save $$
