The fog lights on my 2002 S430 won't turn on. The light bulbs (H1) are fine and I replaced them with new ones for good measure. My rear fog won't turn on as well and the light indicators for the fog lights at the switch doesn't illuminate. Is there a fuse to check? How can I trouble shoot it?

Is there a fog light error on the dash?
This might be silly, but you have to pull the knob for fog lights to work.

No fog light error, and yes I'm pulling the knob out one click for the front fog and two clicks for the rear and neither is coming on.

It seems like the computer did not sense the the contact for the fog light when you pull out the knob. Trace the contact from the knob to the computer you may find the loose contact.

Any idea how to take the knob off to check?

Do you have the fuse diagram ? Usually it is hidden next to your spare tire. However, I check it out already, fog lamp use electronic fuse. That means it will not burn out. Research in the stickies, you should find some article about how to taken apart the panel above the steering wheel.
