The mount looks like none of my SLs. And I have never heard of one of the models listed.

No reason. The seller is misrepresenting them.

They are for Porsche 911. Same as W107's / W116 but different mounting.

If you want amber lenses, I think I might have a solution. I'm going to buy a set of Bosch 150 foglights, with amber lenses, for ~$80. From the specs I think the lenses may be the same size as our 107 foggies, so I'll just swap out the lenses and sell the complete assempblies with clear lenses agan for ~$80. :)

That is if all goes to plan and specs are correct.

I have one clear lense left. I want to see if I can stain it. It seems to me I made my Mom some Mother's Day gift involving a glass and glass paints back in the seventies.

Good God man, have you no respect for authenticity?
JK.
You can still buy that stuff, but it's more paint than stain.

Beg pardon, but speaking of fog lights, in another thread a fellow in Britain mentioned a problem with his REAR fog lights. How come I've never heard of rear fog lights? Where can I get some. :)

Rear fog light. (Not plural.) Only the outboard one illuminates, in Germany anyway, on cars from this era. To the clueless, you appear to be riding the brake with one light out.

Good road,

Visiting drivers to France did this all the time in the seventies and eighties when France had the yellow headlight law... they would stain their lenses appropriately...

Surely, there must be some of this material somewhere..?

Good road,
Exactly, and in England, it is on the opposite side (ie. the rear right side), it is a particularly bright red light.

When left on mistakenly in non-foggy situations, it is tantamount to leaving your high beams on (in oncoming traffic) for the people behind you on the roadway (in Euorpe or GB).
