I would like to know whether the sound will be close to CD quality or just like listening to FM radio. Thanks in advance

The Japanese car audio manufacturers came up with the FM modulator changer add-on as a way to make big profit from know-nots. The sound is no better that FM radio: no highs, no lows, just midrange. There is only one way to hear the clarity of CD in one's car: Retire the Becker tape radio and replace with any aftermarket CD head unit. There are no German made one sold in the U.S. (unless you find a Becker). A head unit that controls a ten disk changer works well. The stock speakers, if not Bose, should be replaced with aftermarket coaxial speakers that are all 4 ohms. If Bose, replacement triangular-framed drivers are available on line for about $30 each.
