Can anyone that has switched from the 164 to the 166 tell me how close the old mats fit in the new body style or are they too far off? How about the rear cargo mat, will it work ok?

Chill...

I know you are excited about your new MB - most popular MB "rear" cargo w/2nd row up is now a tray with raised lip all around and not a "mat" per se - in line with WeatherTech "Digital Fit" front/2nd row mat design.

That tray needs to be mounted/pushed all the way forward against the back of the 2nd row seats for proper fitting or can interfere with power close of the tailgate.

As a option - several of my customers have done it - they trim off the rear lip entirely with a carpet/razor knife - which also allows easier sliding of "cargo" out the tail.

Last time I checked eBay could score you one (genuine) shipped for $123 - versus $130-$150 at the dealer (depending on region) plus tax. WeatherTech - same mat with slightly different pattern and no MB logo - is their MSRP $130

Keep the beat !

Rear cargo mat from the 164 will not fit. 166 has a different shape. I believe others have said front and rear floor mats will fit - somewhat but not perfectly.

In case anyone is interested in the actual part numbers for a 2013 ML 350:

Cargo Tray Part # 1668140041
Front and Rear Mats #16668010489051

I ordered them through my dealer $112 for cargo and $130 for mats.

Good luck.

Thanks Shugs, always have had MB all season mays but since move to Mn thinking of Weathtech for higher sides. Looks like a fair price you got. MB rear tray for sure, not sure on floor mats yet.

I have the weather tech mats but purchased them through my dealership, they say Mercedes where it would say "weather tech." I believe they cost $110 for the two front and one rear mat. I'll confirm that when I get home later. Great mats, clean up great too. Ignore the cheese-itz and golden retriever hair, I have young kids... Vehicle Car Floor

HI Kenn

Can you check on this? My dealer says they don't make the weathertech high side ones anymore. Quoted me $112 for flat ones. The mats you show in the photos are the ones I'm looking for. Thanks!

the 164 mats do not fit correctly up front and the rear mat requires trimming so that the electrical sockets will open. I just replaced mine with the OEM 166 mats (that are made by weathertech) and they fit much better. They also clip on using the "buttons" on the carpet.
