Hello guys.

I am experiencing some weird problems with my car recently.
The problem is every time I put the car into D and R it makes a loud mechanically banging noise coming from the back and even when i am accelerating sometimes. From doing my research and reading other people's posts with the same symptoms as me I found out it could be the flex discs? Or Mounts?.

I just done a complete flush on the ATF and changed the conductor board and still I have this problem.

I thought I would ask for your advice before I take any further action.

How many miles on the clock?

Flex discs are easy to examine visually when the car is up on a lift. They should be good for 100k miles. Could the noise be from the diff?

80k on the clock. I'm hoping its not the diff because that will be expensive to replace. I have booked the car to go into the garage on Tuesday so they will examine it.

Had my car checked over yesterday and the guy said it was diff. He said there is to much play in there and it causing a back lash. So I have to replace the diff. I don't know whether to get a 2nd hand one or new one. I was shocked that my diff had actually gone.

At your mileage - so am I. Do you think that a seal had gone and you had lost the oil in the diff?

I wonder what the chance of finding a decent one from a wreck is?

I have been looking around and the chances are slim I food a few on eBay but I don't really want purchase one of there. Also I will have another garage look at it. Get them to double check it and check the oil. I will keep you guys posted on my problem. Thanks for the reply back keyhole
