hey guys, when changing out a flex disc on the front portion of the shaft, does the shaft simply just slide back away from the disc after bolts are removed? while doing a B2 piston job on one of my 300d's, i noticed mine was and is being very stubborn about moving. is there something i am missing? also, i ordered a new shaft bearing bracket due to mine looking worn out. the bearing seemed fine. what is involved in installing this bracket?

There is a large locknut at the drive shaft joint, which clamps the joints together; you need to loosen this nut.

so are you saying it must be loosened to repair flex plate? or to repair the bearing housing? or to do any repair to the driveline?
