Okay 1994 S420 MB , NO pickup on take off the elderly walk faster then my car from a standstill... it’s like it starts out in 3rd gear then slams into 1st gear it’ll switch from gear to gear and sputter and spit ... once on the freeway It’s great until I get to 75 mph it won’t go over 80 mph when before that car would cruise like o. A cloud at 90 mph not that’s something I’d do a lot ... LIMP, LIMP, LIMP MODE .... I’m sooooo lost... I’ve change the MAF I’ve cleaned the Throttle Body... the harness has been changed , 02 Sensor Changed Camshaft sensor changed tranny sensor changed... temperature sensor changed torque converter and tranny oil pump Changed , fuel injectors changed... my mind ... lost in change ... any one have an idea I’d love to hear them

I'm having similar issues with my 97 S420--had the car 2 months, and it hasn't been to my indy yet (because my w124 is there now)--soon as my w124 it comes home I'm taking it in. Extremely slow from a dead stop. It's so bad I won't turn left if there's oncoming traffic. Passing is really hard too. It shouldn't be this slow.

Sometimes it will pick up after I've pressed hard on the accelerator, almost like a turbo lag.

I'm wondering if a fuel pump is going bad, the fuel filter is clogged, or there's an issue with the tank. My tank sometimes won't show full when I've filled it until the pump shuts off, and it doesn't depressurize when I open the filler cap.

But could also be throttle body, throttle linkage(?), etc
