First windshield stone chip today.

Got dinged by the car ahead of me changing into my lane. At least the paint on the hood is still intact. Looks like the type of chip that will qualify for a repair. It's impossible to keep these cars in showroom condition!

Fred:

I feel for you, but I truly believe the great value of these cars is in enjoying their use...hopefully we can dodge most the road hazards....[)][)][)]

I just got my first one last friday too...
What kind of chips qualify for repairs?
What is that they really do? -- Are the repairs "invisble"?
This link should give you a good idea of what is repairable.
I think most insurance companies will cover the repair in full
even if you have a comprehensive deductible.

I'm sorry to hear that Fred. Mine has also suffered the same fate but not enough to repair the spots yet. It is common for jealous a**holes to cut us off when they see that we are driving nices vehicle. I get that all the time so I drive mostly on the slowest lane on the highway.
Windshield repaired in 20 minutes

Got the windshield stone chip repaired yesterday. Technician took 20 minutes to repair the chip at my home. Cost is $60. However, the insurance company waives the deductible on windshield repairs. Does not look as good as new, but, looks much better than leaving it chipped. Appears like a small water spot on the windshield.
Welcome to my world. Two, maybe three chips and counting...
