Firstly hello people

So on saturday I test drove an 09 109 LWB panel van, and suddenly wondered why I've spent the last three months looking for a low milage reasonably priced T5. Deposite paid, collect it this coming saturday!! cant wait.

Already have a few plans for it, lower it, got some winter alloys lined up, insulate and rack out for work (joiner), plus a trip to Pendle for a remap.

Few questions, cant find coilovers anywhere for it, so I'm guessing its just springs, can i drop 50mm>

What problems do i need to look out for, its showing 63k on the clock

And finally is anyone runnong banded steels on these?

Cheers

Welcome mate.
I think banded wheels are against the law?
As for springs then Spax or H&R with 40mm is enough.
And at 63k its all fine just keep it serviced with the right oil and it will go on and on.

Banded steel wheels are for VW's.. Over here we roll on 20" OEM alloys, Isn't that right Zenman...

I'm currently working on coilovers for Vito's, but at the moment you have a few choices of lowering springs! Eibach and H&R are best quality, but others are available IE Chinese specials or soon to be release HSD! However most will only do 30mm-40mm and cutting the rear springs won't work ( I know thats what you were thinking) the fronts cut fine :)

A Remap will make the van, in standard form they lack a little punch! But with a remap they really do go well! Further down the line you can opt for a turbo from a 111cdi or a 115cdi and a little tweak to the ECU (Not another remap, more of a software change as the bigger turbo uses a different actuation method) and you can get 180bhp..
