I just purchased a 92 model last month with 144,000 miles. I paid $10,000 the car looks and drives great. I had to replace the door close assist(which you don't have to have but is nice) was able to purchase from Perfromance Analysis Company for $185.00 rebuilt with 1 year warranty phone 865-482-9175. My AC does not work yet, but the freon is full so no leaks. I had to replace the wiring harness at a cost of $575.00. These are all DIY projects and very easy to do. There is enough help on the internet to make up for no manuals. Join the Mecerdes Benz Club of America the best resource for information that you can hope to find. It costs around $40.00 per year. I would get the dealer down on the price because you will need the money to make some repairs. It is a great car. Just buy it right and do check out the AC, head gasket and radio. You will find those are real issues that you may have to contend with.

Wiring harness

I bought it from the dealer (Jackie Cooper) here in Tulsa. It is really a snap to install and that is not intended to be a play on words. But all the connections snap on. I just pulled the cowling loose on top and laid the new one beside it and removed and re-installed in order. It does not take long at all. It took me longer to go to the dealer than it did to install. The injectors are at the correct length that you can't confuse that. The other two connections are senders from the front of the motor having to do with temp senders. They are different and can not confuse either. I belong to the Mercedes Benz Club of America and the dealers give us a 15% discount. A good deal for $40.00 a year membership.
If you have any other questions, give me a call.
By the way I was able to have my A/C fixed for less than $200.00. It was a broken wire on the compressor.

Wiring harness

Barry,
This was the harness that pertains to the fuel injectors, temp senders, etc.
I also replaced the plug wires, I was able to get them from Autozone (Bosh wires) for $350.00 for the set. I also intalled the platium plugs only to take them out and go back to factory spec plugs. The others did not work well.
