After 10 years, my ML finally got its wheels wet in the ocean. And up to the axles in sand.

Ahhh I miss the ability to do light offroading like that. Makes me really miss my ML.

Hope you washed if off very well after taking a dip in the ocean!

Looks like you had a pretty-good time !! Any need for the low range ?
There was one time I tried to engage low range but I had the sticky low range motor! I was bogged in soft sand so rather than tap it with a hammer, I freed the car with digging and rocking back & forth. Meanwhile my passengers had phoned for emergency assistance, but roadside don't come to this island.

I never use low range, and I'm scared of it getting stuck in low range and not going back to normal, so I never press the button.

Hope you washed if off very well after taking a dip in the ocean!
There was sand trapped in every underbody space, which when hosed out and scraped together weighed 9 kg (20 lb) dry.
