I somehow found the mental resources and succeded to get a working kickdown solenoid installed in the AMG. WOW! I now have first gear start AND kickdown into first! Along with the 6000rpm FPR, this has transformed the car into a real nice beast. I took my wife for a test drive to demonstrate the changes in performance and there was a jogger down the country road and we blew by him as he was running towards us. I gave him half the road to be considerate and saw a 1-2 shift at 5000rpm and a 2-3 shift at 5900rpm at 72mph indicated(maybe 79 true corrected for the speedo error). We turned it around about half a mile down the road and on the way back repeated the drill. My wife and I were almost in tears as we came back up on the jogger and he almost wrecked trying to get off the road as we were flying by. The 3" exhaust, 6000rpm, and blasting triple digit speeds are an intimidating combination!

Thanks for all the help guys! Having a freakin blast with this car!

Now to get that 1-2 shift point up a little :)

only IF you can catch traction. i owe you alot of credit for helping me out with my FGS issues, talbir. thank you. now i just need some wider wheels to slap on some stickier tires.. idk wtf everyone has against FGS. it totally transforms the car. i took out a couple of goofy kids at a stoplight lastnight in the new honda civic Si, which i guess has 200hp and is much lighter than a 126. i glanced down at my little carbon fiber switch panel, flicked the red LED switch labeled "LAUNCH" and easily gained 3 car lenghts on the civic in the first 50ft (keep in mind, my 1st gear shifts to 2nd at only 3500rpm). continued onto 65mph where i then had about 6-7 car lenghts on him. and it's all thanks to the FGSM providing the full potential power at a standstill.

NüR-SPEC I think you should market those "Launch" switches. i thiknk they sound awesome, but i just don't like the idea of moddin the dash, and or wood panels. Aside from that I would buy one in a heartbeat.

i don't have ABS... so the FGS won't work for me?
Nothing to do with the ABS. If your car does not have factory FGS, a BergWerks unit or equivalent will do the trick.

You don't have to use the Euro E/S switch either. That's just cosmetics, any toggle switch will do.

The new and programmable FGS our Russian friend is making uses the ABS pulses. The older MB and Bergwerks do not. For some reason the benzworld link wouldn't work. In the google links It is explaned in detail.

my little switch panel is pretty straightforward. i used the factory vent, gutted it, slipped in a slab of carbon fiber, mesured, drilled a hole, and slipped the switch in. i used an inline 30amp fuse for the switch, 15amp for the module, and a ground right under the dash on the mounting bolt.

it would be cool to make a burlwood panel, too. but yeah, there were no mods to the dash. just the vent. simply slipped it back into the factory hole.
