...came on whilst doing some heavy in and around town driving. Only noticed it after hitting a fairly jarring pot hole.

I'm thinking it could be from the 91 Supreme gas from Ultramar filled up the day before. :dunno:

It may be time to invest in a code reader. Anything recommended from Canadian Tire and the such? Just need a basic one to at least find it out and clear it.

For now, I went to Part Source because they do free code read checks, because I had to know.

P0302....something about #2 Cylinder Misfire. :confused:

Coil? Sign of things to come?

Bad gas?

Runs fine otherwise. :nerd
Bad gas causes multiple misfires but you only have a misfire on cyl 2, so the coil is suspect. Swap the coil with another cylinder and see if the misfire moves with it.

Eric's suggestion is sound, but first I'd clear the code and see how soon it comes back.

Third time starting it this morning and light is off. See if it comes back on again.

Its due for fresh plugs soon any way.
