i bought a german CD compilation mix from europe, and my friend is half german half jordanian, and i'm used to the euro music scene from back home in jordan, the compilation is called bravo hits V38 among several other where you can get really good music. i usually go to eurpean charts and download almost everything off of them, the ketchup song? i had it since september, waaaaay before the states got a hold of them, tatu? same thing.

i tend to listen to european music rather than the music played here in the states which is a single song every month that is 99.9% rap and which i hear everywhere speakers are installed.

well, i listen to lots of so called "unknown" artists like alize, kosheen, tiziano ferro...

well, i listen to lots of so called "unknown" artists like alize, kosheen, tiziano ferro, paola e chiara, sophie ellis baxtor, morcheeba. and many many more than i don't even know who sings them. and i do notice that european videos as well as commercials are much more open to nudity and profanity than over here, which depending on whom you ask, is good or bad.

yeah, when i used to live in jordan three years ago, i used to watch viva, 123sat, worldmusic, musica europa, and a much more music stations. and i keep refreshing my supplies every year or so when i go back visiting jordan and some parts of europe.

even american artists have some songs released over there before the states, like for example jennifer lopez's ain't it funny, which also took 6 monthes to make it here, and a new music video from nelly and justin timberlake which i heard was banned to play and it was export only being shot in europe only.

my opinion is that videos here portray women as sex objects, while the europeans view them as objects of lust and desire. again depending on teh video, sometimes they don't stand for anything, they're just like everyone else dancing there.

it's sad seeing sex selling music too, even sex is dictating what we "hear" these days.


and no, i haven't seen the video, although i'd like to see it, i'll look it up in kazaa.

i noticed a W126 that seemed ok in te movie rat race, where goldberg and her daughter drive down the mountain, then it shows the car crashing, there's a W126 between the wrecked cars down there if you look fast enough. thought it was cool.
