I have a 1980 300D. Does anyone know of any holes through the passenger side of the firewall into the cabin of the car? I want to run a cable from the battery into the car. If not on the passenger side, are there any others in the center or driver's side? I think I might be able to go through the hole where the vacuum lines for the door locks go through, but that's on the driver's side.

There should be at least one on the drivers side for the instrument cluster, and other wires. Get down outside the car and crawl under the dash - see if there are any holes with the rubber gaskets around them.
