yea i like em that way, theyre actually mettalic, flat black primer and then a mist of silver rustoleum mettalic high gloss and "alot" of laquer(hence the peeling)
ended up matching the paint perfect, i painted my xbox 360 the same color, but that broke, and its a long story

well i got lucky and the wheel came with the car, ive never took it off but im guessing the center cap spins off when pressed down, can tell me how much its worth and where it came from? i know it was made in italy in 1977

whats the 261 option? rust?

you got a very novice 280ce owner here, i dont even know what the color of my car is yet
the wood doesnt exactly match but its not bothering me, i dont think it would bother anyone

I don't think it's a 261 (willow green metallic) - it looks like a standard anthracite reflecting the green grass around it and I THINK the willow green metallic was lighter shade (I'm trying to remember but can't and need to find the color sample web-page)

EXTREMELY EASY, but in some places the peices are thin and one snapped, i fixed it with epoxy but it doesnt matter any ways its just for looks. i did it semi gloss, its just two screws once you have the fronts off, which you need to know how to take off the right way

hardest part is taking the unit out of the frame, they come out only one slim way, dont force it, they shouldnt need to be

i just mentioned that they are painted, the euro option lights were included in the car(im the second owner) i just bought new front seals and glass, while i was replacing them i decided to take out the trim and paint it

i might be selling it if i can get enough, anyone care to give a guess? it has rust, LOTS(and that small scrape in the passenger side picture), engine has blow-by, it goes over 100 mph without incident, and the odometer is broken at 92,725, front windsheild has a big vertical crack, the rear windows have the coupe syndrome, interior is pretty perfect though, im looking at 560 sec's
(manufactured 7/81 and has the m110.984)

ive been thinking of keeping it while i purchase another toyota because im going to college for ase cert. and toyota dealership training, but im just not saving up the money i thought i would be

You sure its a 984?

I'd paint the grill black.

Value is tough on the gassers. THe truth is most are looking for diesel w123s. The majority of buyers don't even know a gasser exists. If you fix the odometer that would help, but rust is a deal killer for most. Maybe 2-3k??

You should have a 988 rather than a 984 unless you have a '78

The M110.984 was the first engine with the new Bosch K-Jetronic injection. This system is mechanical. The air that is taken in is weighted to the determine the amount of fuel to inject.

Power output: 177 hp (130 kW) at 6000rpm up to april 1978; 185 hp (136 kW) at 5800rpm from april 1978.

Applications:

* 1975-1981 280E
* 1975-1981 280CE
* 1975-1981 280TE
the euros might have had the 988 but not mine, the Mb tech in my town informed me that i have one of the last US made m110's

look at my emissions setup: (right side two hoses go into k-jet intake)

please inform me if i have all this mixed up, i would love to hear that i have a 988
