Finally... got new wheels!

Thanks.. took me 3 years to get to this.

Final 3 jobs will be redoing the nickel chrome plating on the roof rails, fitting new leather on all seats and lowering the car by 30mm using Vogtland springs.

Picture below has been done in photoshop.

The roof rails in my 1989 300TE are painted grey, tomatch the same grey as the bumper covers.

I think I like the chromed version better!!!

I agree - your wagon looks very nice & that was a good choice of wheels.

Mercedes just haven't come close with the recent wagon versions.

I agree with you to a point. I don't like the W210 and W211 series wagons, they look kind of dowdy. Unless, of course, you are talking about the AMG version, now that's one hot wagon (or estate as the other chaps say [] ).

But we bought our daughter (the former driver of the 300TE) a C320 Sports Wagon. I think it is a nice looking little wagon. The lines are very sophisticated and sporty looking.

Our other daughter drives a Volvo V70 wagon (our family is really into wagons [8D]). Her wagon looks really good too.

Wagons are hot again. Even Jag (or should I say ford) is making a wagon. [] I think it is based on the Volvo C40 wagon.

This is great...and how timely. I was just looking at the Tire Rack website looking for new wheels for my '89 300E and came up short.

Then I flip over here and see those beautiful wheels (which I just happen to have in storage since I put AMG's on my CLK which was since sold) on a W124 and wow! The answer! Thanks a ton, picture to follow in a week or so.
