Hello members,
I have a 2010 E350 CDI OM642 equipped with a DPF. Car has 240k km and the filter has never been cleaned. I was getting regens on every 350 km highway driving or half of that if city driving. Had some free time last week and decided to take the DPF off the car and to manually clean it. I followed this guide and the results were pretty good. Before cleaning, water was hardly flowing through the filter. After the cleaning, water was flowing really well as if there were no filter. A lot of soot/ash came out.
Left the DPF dry out for several days and put it back. Then used my iCarSoft CR MAX to "Teach in a used DPF". Did a 350 km trip and even fuel economy was lower - about 1 liter less per 100km.

Today after I started the engine, an EML came out. I read the codes and saw the following:

11A700 The Fill Level Of The Diesel Particulate Filter Is Too High.
13AF00 The Soot Content Of The Diesel Particulate Filter Is Too High.

Tried to clear them but no luck.
I cannot explain to myself why these codes appear. I do not believe that the DPF is actually full as it is "freshly" cleaned. Car drives really well but I am afraid once the DPF is actually full, the regen will not be triggered.

Can anyone help here? As I mentioned earlier I have an iCarSoft CR MAX so I can use it if needed.

Thanks,
Rado

Dis you clear dpf pressure sensor pipes/hoses? Are all sensors giving smae sensor when engine stoped? DIs you check your carsofr really reset values? Are you sure you have no boost problem = fill DPF very rapidly

Hi @mersum1es ,
I havent cleaned the pipes/hoses, but they looked clean anyway or at least not clogged.
Engine has no boost leaks, I have changed seals recently. Overall engine is running strong, I think is some kind of sensor fault.
Can you tell what values to check from the icarsoft and what are the acceptable ranges?
Thanks

When you did 'teach', a soot/ash value should have decreased (I don't know which one carsoft shows, and how)
