Whats the difference??? If u need a bigger space for the quad exhaust. Probably u can get the mechanic to do some trimming off for more space.

the amg kit has a black bit at the back.
can that just be changed with the amg 55 black bit?

OR.. it the actually bumpuer slighty wider too?

just curious.. cos when i ket my 350 with amg kit, i want to put the quad pipes too.

That might be acceptable except for the fact that there is a small strip of body-colored bumper below the black bit. If you do manage to get the SLK55 black panel you would still have to hack up this part of the bumper. I think you would be disappointed with the result.
