Back on subject, when the Egg-on-facebook stock price nosedives on Monday, taking the Dow or S&P or NASDAQ with it, perhaps Wall Street will realize that the dot com bubble II is over, that investing in fads and businesses with no intrinsic value is stupid, and people might start investing in companies that actually make real, tangible, useful stuff again...
Wut? Facebook is an intelligence and marketing gold mine, it is incredibly valuable as long as there are advertisers and people who want to know your business there will be a market for it, and the input cost? Almost free.

Would I go on there, no,never have never will. (I said know when I found out you couldn't really delete anything from the platform) and I hate stupid cat pics. I don't want to see your ugly kids either.

There is a great meme circulating

I have no idea if any of it is true, but it is still a good meme and if any of it is true then it is a good reason to stay away from FB.

It’ll probably tank another 10% or so while they figure out how to tame those data mining operations. Really, the first mistake is the users in clicking on one of those surveys that asks for access to their profile info to tell them which movie star they resemble or answer a survey about their hopes and dreams.

Facebook can be a great thing, you just have to know how to use it-

of course we'll have to see how their behavior unfolds.

Yep, gotta be in control of what you want and put in there and what you want to see. Social is the key word in social media. Great tool for keeping up with people you know. I did dip my toes in the political BS but learned quickly how hardened the positions are (unlike the refreshing open mindedness of BWOT), so I just watch the trends while skimming through and hit “like” on the good Dr Paul’s stuff so the GOP friends will see where the soul of their party went.

Any platform for narcissists is a good money spinner, as is anything which attracts the greedy. It's balancing the two which is tricky. Zuckerberg sold a chunk of his stock a couple of weeks ago. I wonder how much he'll buy back in the next couple of weeks?

Very little, if any, of it is true according to Wikipedia.

Why anyone would make so much of Zuckerburg's religious background I really have no idea (cough)....

Wonder what would have been said if his last name was Smith and he came from a Lutheran or Baptist background....

Is it just me or is that insider trading and should he be prosecuted for this?

Clearly you are overlooking the CIA logo on the front. If you are implying I am anti semeitc, you are not accurate. I would say I am anti abrahamic. God/Allah has claimed more lives than old age.

Is it legal or have we just not pursued a case in so long that we forgot. Much less when was the last anti trust case taken to conviction?

And yes they are not nice people.

One of my friends called me a NAZI and the irony of this coming from him is astounding, I had to correct him. I said I do not hate jews, I hate bankers many of the latter happen to be of the former. Aside from that I am far from socialist of any flavour.

Evidence of malfeasance would be difficult to prove beyond reasonable doubt.
Surely the timeline alone would be reasonable circumstantial evidence. Let alone the fact that the nsa captures everything and I would have to assume that includes Zuckerbergs data too.

The company I first worked for in the City was involved in this:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guinness_share-trading_fraud

At a reunion of former traders in a London City pub many years later, someone asked our former chairman if he wanted a pint, after all, 'Guinness is good for you' - the famous adverstising slogan used by Guinness at the time. My erstwhile boss replied 'Not for me it wasn't...'. I could write a fucking book....
