I have went thru 2 air injection pumps in 6 months on my 94 S500, bearing on clutch burns out. Was wondering if this is a common problem? Does not throw a code before it goes, no other problems other than the bearing on the pulley going.
It would be my assumption that you are buying used parts. They are never going to be any better than the miles of use on them. You can disassemble the pump and replace the bearings
after pulling clutch, pulley and bearing off pump and a bunch of research I found the bearing and a supplier. The bearing number is C&S Brand #336-2001 An alternate number is CLB-46301618 The supplier is Rays Auto heat and air in massachusetts. He has a website Ray's Auto Air & Heat - Auto Air Conditioning Parts & Accessories, A/C Hoses & Fittings Thanks for your help.
Sorry about that. The bearing was $19.95 and $7.75 for priority shipping. Total $27.70 Not bad considering its hard to get a decent used one for less than $200 or $350 to $600 for rebuilt.
