My front/top hydraulic cylinder failed and leaked all into my headliner, which luckily, is the black foam type and soaked it all up before it dripped into the interior of the car, and unbelievably didn't damage, discolor it or cause it to lose the adhesive and start peeling away or sagging. Problem is, no matter how much I try to soak it up with paper towels, quite a bit still remains, and, of course, smells of hydraulic fluid. Would placing it in the sun evaporate the fluid? I really don't want to replace it since it is not damaged. Advice/opinions appreciated. Thanks!

The original vinyl headliner in mine was impervious to hydraulic fluid and bubbled. You might have a non original liner. The hydraulic fluid won't dry in the sun.
I had to strip my vinyl liner out, clean up the backing board carefully with engine cleaner and detergent then dry it in the sun.
I then took the backing board to an automotive upholsterer and had it relined with porous black fabric- so I'd see any small leaks without destroying the liner. Cost was $AUD 50.
