Hi all. I needed to replace the grille under the front bumper and ordered the correct one according to the EPC for my VIN but the part doesn't fit. Could I please have some pictures of a pre and post facelift front bumper for comparison. Perhaps my car had an off road excursion in a former life and had the bumper replaced with the wrong one.

This one is from my files. It's a 2004 or 2005 (which should be the same in any event). Of particular note, in addition to the increased height & size of the lower air intake, is the shape of the smaller "blind grilles" into which the fog lights are set. What was a trapezoid shape on the earlier car is now more of a parallelogram.

It is a quiet forum, most technical issues being the same as the W220.

As for the 215 bumpers look at the image thread at the top of the list.

I do agree though - it is a bit dead. I think this is because these cars are relatively rare. I also post my mechanical issues on the W220 forum and electrical concerns on the specialist forum for this type of thing. Whatever happened to 'Eric' from China, who knew everything about these cars - come back to us where ever you are!!!
